In Mount Tamalpais State Park, people are able to road mountain bike, run, hike, and explore according to their skills and enjoy the amazing views from the trails and the mountains.

The Dipsea Trail is an amazing experience to enjoy with small waterfalls, streams, forests, fern forests, and a chance to see wild life like birds, rabbits, and deer. The trail has around 7.1 miles (11.4 km) and it is possible to go into Muir Woods from it.

Muir Woods is a redwood forest with very tall trees several hundred years old, and you will learn about the tree families and the wild life. There are different options for trails, and you can enjoy the energy of that old forest in about 3 hours.

At the Tennessee Valley Trailhead, people go mountain biking, walking, running to enjoy the beach. It has nice views, and the wild life offers sightings of fox, bobcats, coyotes, deer, and all kinds of birds.

One other singular place in Mill Valley is to complement your visit and get a deeper understanding of nature and the sea world is the Marine Mammal Center, which has been leading ocean conservation and has made marine mammal rescue, principally seal, veterinary medicine, science and education, the animals’ rescue and observation of ecosystems, crucial information to protect the ocean for now and future generations.

Their work extends to protecting whales, dolphins, and porpoises. It’s possible to check in advance what is possible to see, visit, and participate in.
